APPELLATION: Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG

UGA: San Casciano

GRAPE VARIETY: Sangiovese

SOIL: Rocky limestone soil with a high presence of galestro, the distinctive schistous rock typical of the Chianti Classico area.

HARVEST: Hand-picked grapes with a double selection. The fruit comes from a single vineyard parcel, carefully chosen to best express the estate's production philosophy and the unique identity of the territory.

VINIFICATION: The grapes are destemmed and transferred into stainless steel tanks, where they undergo a 72-hour cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation then takes place at controlled temperature for approximately fifteen days, with regular pump-overs and délestage. At the end of fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the skins for a further seventy-two hours of maceration.

AGEING: Thirty months in 500-litre tonneaux, followed by at least three months of bottle ageing.

BOTTLING: May 2024.

ALCOHOL: 13.5% vol.

TASTING NOTES: Deep ruby red in colour. The bouquet is complex and refined, revealing ripe cherry and vanilla aromas layered with notes of tobacco and delicate balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is structured, deep and persistent, supported by elegant tannins and vibrant freshness that enhances its pronounced minerality, leading to a long, harmonious finish.
