APPELLATION: Toscana IGT Rosso

GRAPE VARIETY: Sangiovese

SOIL: Clay-limestone.

HARVEST: Hand-picked, with a slightly earlier harvest to preserve freshness and natural acidity. The grapes are carefully selected both in the vineyard and on the sorting table.

VINIFICATION: The grapes are destemmed and transferred to unlined concrete tanks. A cold pre-fermentation maceration lasting approximately 72 hours promotes gentle extraction of aromatic and phenolic compounds from the skins. Alcoholic fermentation then takes place at a controlled temperature for approximately fifteen to twenty days, accompanied by regular punch-downs and délestage. At the end of fermentation, the wine remains on the skins for a further three days.

AGEING: Four months in unlined concrete tanks, followed by a further three months of bottle ageing.

BOTTLING: May 2025.

ALCOHOL: 13% alc./vol.

TASTING NOTES: Bright ruby red in colour. The bouquet opens with elegant aromas of ripe cherry and orange zest, complemented by delicate spicy nuances. On the palate, the wine is supple, harmonious and refined, with fine-grained tannins and a fresh, persistent finish.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6-8 °C.
